'I couldn't sleep the night summer ended.

I looked and listened instead of closing my eyes.'

This book is a short collection of poems themed around self-reflection and the beautiful nature of Canada. Each chapter is divided according to the four seasons, with poems and photography to match those seasons. If you believe beauty is found in the little things, this is the perfect book for you.

Caught in someone else's war, a young orphan girl is forced to live a lie to survive.

Red was named for the colour of her hair—a colour associated with evil in some places and royalty in others. Most in her village can tolerate her, maybe even accept her, as long as she covers it. But when the Kingdom's princess is assassinated, Red has no choice but to escape with the help of a homeless thief named Alexander. What she doesn't know is that she has an even lower chance of surviving in the outside world.

A civil war stirs in the Kingdom of Lylabeth, and both sides have their eyes set on who they think is the next heir to the throne. On one side is a growing band of Revolutionists, led by a bitter man who will stop at nothing to kill her. On the other is a prince who would rather deceive his people than be killed in the name of anarchy. With no one left to trust, Red needs to decide what is more important: her own life, or the fate of a Kingdom that doesn't belong to her?
